The sequence defines the outreach cadence ithat Ava executes for each lead. It’s the campaign’s playbook: which channels to use, how long to wait between messages.Documentation Index

Sequence steps
Email: Ava composes and sends an email from the sender’s mailbox. The content is either AI-generated (using everything configured on the Messaging tab that will follow) or manually written by the user. Each email step can be individually set to AI or manual mode. Manual Task: Creates a to-do item for the sender (e.g., “like their recent LinkedIn post”). The task appears on the sender’s Tasks page for them to complete manually. Call: Schedules a call task for the sender. Only available if the organization has a dialer subscription.Branching
The sequence is linear until a LinkedIn Connection Request is added. At that point, the sequence immediately forks into two independent paths: Accepted path: The steps that run if the prospect accepts the connection.- Timing is relative to the acceptance event (e.g., +1 day after acceptance, +3 days after acceptance).
- This path typically includes LinkedIn messages since the connection is now open and LinkedIn messages yield a higher positive response rate.
- The user sets this wait time when adding a LinkedIn Connection Request step (e.g., 7 days, 14 days, etc.).
- If at any point while the sequence is on this branch, the lead replies, it automatically switches over to the positive response branch, just like a human SDR would.
AI-Generated vs. Manual Emails
Each email step in the sequence can be set to one of two modes: AI Generated (the default and recommended approach): Ava writes a unique, personalized email for every prospect using the campaign’s Messaging tab.- No two emails are the same. This is the core value of Ava and is recommended by Artisan.
- A “Use AI to improve flow” option lets Ava polish the manual draft if enrichments are used. This does a basic grammar check and ensures that the content of the enrichment flows naturally with the email.
